Role-playing at Gnome Games ™
What are Role-Playing Games?

A role-playing game (RPG) is a broad family of games in
which players assume the roles of characters in a fictional
setting.  Actions taken within the game succeed or fail
according to a formal system of rules and guidelines, often
dependent upon the results of dice rolls.

The RPGs featured at Gnome Games are conducted through
speech, in which a story teller (Game Master or GM) usually
decides on the rules and setting to be used and acts as
referee, while each other player plays the role of a single
character.  The players will interact with the GM's fictional
setting by describing actions that their character will attempt
to take and the GM will describe, based on the story and
rules, what happens as a result of their actions.

Because Role-Playing games focus so much on the interaction of people in a group of 3-8 people, it's sometimes hard to find a group to play with.  With that in mind, here at Gnome Games we're happy to offer specific days for the following games in order to help those that are passionate about playing the game find a group to play with.

If we don't host a game night for your interest, feel free to talk to our staff about posting a flyer to advertise for group members for your game!

D&D Encounters is an exciting, weekly campaign that plays out one epic encounter at a time. As you defeat enemies, solve puzzles, finish quests, and perform heroic deeds, you’ll earn Renown Points that you can use to get exclusive rewards.

Each session only takes 1-2 hours to play, so it’s easy to fit your game in after school or work. And each week there’s a new and exciting challenge. Jump in anytime!

Dungeons and Dragons Living Forgotten Realms RPGA

Living Forgotten Realms (or LFR for short) is a new regionalized RPGA Living campaign, and the first to utilize the 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons rules. Players create characters and assign them to a specific region set in the Forgotten Realms. Characters can be played in any LFR adventure that supports their levels of play, anywhere. As your character plays adventures, it earns experience points, gold, and magic items which stay with you from game to game. There are dozens of unique adventures each year!
