A role-playing game (RPG) is a broad family of games in which players assume the roles of characters in a fictional setting. Actions taken within the game succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines, often dependent upon the results of dice rolls.
The RPGs featured at Gnome Games are conducted through speech, in which a story teller (Game Master or GM) usually decides on the rules and setting to be used and acts as referee, while each other player plays the role of a single character. The players will interact with the GM's fictional setting by describing actions that their character will attempt to take and the GM will describe, based on the story and rules, what happens as a result of their actions.
RPGs at Gnome Games
Because Role-Playing games focus so much on the interaction of people in a group of 3-8 people, it's sometimes hard to find a group to play with. With that in mind, here at Gnome Games we're happy to offer specific days for the following games in order to help those that are passionate about playing the game find a group to play with.
If we don't host a game night for your interest, feel free to talk to our staff about posting a flyer to advertise for group members for your game!
